MusicStrands, SHARED THE DISCO. Angel Falls

An online service to create a community of users to share tastes, recommending music and discovering new artists MusicStrands is a service to discover, share and organize music launched, in beta (testing), last February. It is a huge online music designed to create a community for sharing musical tastes from playlists, ratings and recommendations, where you can also discover new music, listen (30 seconds) and buy (via links to stores music where available).

How it works

MusicStrand is a free service. Simply register to access personal folders "My Music, 'My Recommendations and' My Influences." No pre-registration can explore the music catalog by genre or artist and browse through playlists created by users. The catalog contains about five million titles and provides information about the artists, a short biography, in English and their valuation, discography, music and tags (tags) related. Music Community

addition to searching the catalog and listen to 30 seconds of almost every song, the service is assembled around playlists created by users. You can create as many playlists as you like (or upload them from iTunes), share with the community, rate those of others and meet people with the same musical tastes. The 'best' playlists for each day appear on the homepage.
Music is classified by tags (labels), a widely popular service that uses as
del.icio.us (for storing and sharing online a favorite), Technorati (search weblogs) and Flickr (for sharing Photos on the Web). MusicStrands the tags defined in music with the words chosen by the users, which can refer to the type of music, places, mood ... and can be applied both to the songs as albums or playlists. These tags create a sort of directories to discover new music.
Please see 'My Wish' can store songs and albums you're buying below or visit friends for matching gift. Each topic or disk MusicStrands is linked to partner stores, online or physical, such as Amazon, Buy.com, Web Disk, iTunes or Walmart, which can be purchased.
